I wonder how many times Mr. Nobel has turned over in his grave? Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, Kofi Annan, Yasser Arafat....etc.
This peace prize has been rendered idiotically political and meaningless.
I wonder the same thing about Mr. Rhodes (as in Rhodes scholarship). The trustees of the scholarship have distorted the man’s instructions for the trust beyond recognition. The same can probably be said of the Ford Foundation. It must really suck to create a foundation or trust with your lifes work and see it subverted by people you would never had hired much less tolerated. Got to love lawyers, they can read anything they want into a contract.
