Hopefully the voters will see that that these unions are the root of the state's budget problems — and the state will not recover until the public employee unions are entirely broken.

I couldn’t agree more. The unions own this state and said ownership is killing it.

And in other news, time for these government-worker babies to join the real world. In the private sector (where our nation’s wealth is actually generated) hardly anyone gets Columbus day as a paid holiday: we’re too busy trying to afford government largesse to take days off.

I work at a sizeable office complex full of private businesses. Next land parcel over is occupied by government. It’s stunning how many days I go to work and the government parking lot is empty.

Lately I’ve seen signs posted in people’s yards that say, “State Employee and Proud of It” When I see these signs I think: good grief, we’re doomed.

these unions do not belong in state government. and yes they are the problem.
