Americans need more exercise, not another tax.
Obesity is a complex issue, and addressing it is important for all Americans. We at the Coca-Cola company are committed to working with government and health organizations to implement effective solutions to address this problem.
But a number of public-health advocates have already come up with what they think is the solution: heavy taxes on some routine foods and beverages that they have decided are high in calories. The taxes, the advocates acknowledge, are intended to limit consumption of targeted foods and help you to accept the diet that they have determined is best.

In fact, I hate that they've modified corn into a monster.
I miss some of the old varieties.
You can prove it to yourself.
Drink crappy HFSC products and feel how they swell up your liver, then carefully track your weight gain with a good digital scale.
Then don't drink that stuff for a week and your weight will go back down and you will feel better.
I rec. using the new Zero water filter pitcher for the in between clearing portion of the test.
They even give you a digital TDS meter that can be used anywhere(it's only a little bigger than a pen), I got mine at a goodwill store but Wal-Mart etc. sells them. Miles above Pur and Brita.
If you want to go further, then repeat the procedure drink really good sugared product.
After that try the same thing for the same period with diet soda.
You'll be amazed, and maybe you'll get it.
You're not confusing CFCs destroying the ozone layer with the recent green house gas fiasco, are you?
The "study" was paid for by Dupont whose patent on r-12 was about to run out.
You have a copy of that patent? Or are you making stuff up?
You can feel your liver swell up?
I lived it.
I was family to some of the research people.
Family shares things, you know.
Nice article. Thanks for posting it.
Big prob. , people just don't pay attention.
Perhaps you'd share?
You know, like a copy of the patent? Or a link?
You don't thing Freon was banned because of global warming, do you?
Maybe. Maybe not.
HFCS has a higher level of fructose, and has been shown to increase triglyceride levels.
Well... mostly
The feed bag may be a bit obvious.
r-12 was and is the best "freon", they had to market an older version of the formula 134a because they couldn't improve r-12 into a better product.
134a sucks, that's why they didn't market it when they had a better product r-12 way back when.
To prove your claim about the patent?
Or to clear up your confusion about the ban?
So when did they get the patent? When was it going to run out?
You know the difference between the ozone layer and global warming?
The bull is very much the same with the HFCS debate.
Sneakyman Inc. controls the perceived reality of the scam, I mean situation.
That's funny, yes, I know the dif..
Then why did you say, "For instance, the whole fake green movement is based on a "study" done by USC that "proved" greenhouse gases were because of r-12"?
“Coke Didn’t Make America Fat”
It made my Uncle skinny.
and fidgety.
I watered down my son’s juice as well.
When he was a little guy he LOVED the stuff. I think “juice” was his first word. LOL!
Anyway, I got to the point of watering down the juice to half juice/half water. His doctor recommended it because his weight was starting to creep up.
After a few months his weight leveled off and has remained normal into his 20’s.
When he had his first taste of “real” juice at him grandma’s house he was shocked. It is pretty sweet if you are not used to it.
That how it starts and builds.
You take one paid for false premise and you build from there.
