"Detroit's homeless and low-income residents have another opportunity for a chance at millions of stimulus dollars.

Its a lottery!! Come'on everybody, lets go play the Obamattery!!!!

The money is available to help low-income residents from becoming homeless and homeless residents to find housing."

25% of the houses in Detroit are abandoned buildings. Even downtown the city seems closed. And there ain't enough housing?

I got to drive through parts of Detroit several years ago, before it got really bad. I remember several blocks, LOTS of blocks, of boarded-up, abandoned houses. Anyone who wanted to kick in the door and bring in their wine and bedroll could do so. The concrete bridges looked like they were crumbling.

Here is my stimulus idea: If a widget costs $1.00 to be manufactured in China, how much would a widget cost if it were manufactured in Detroit? None of this UAW union labor now, just desperate people looking for a paycheck. Could we bulldoze those houses and manufacture widgets there for $2.00? Or Is this a stupid question?
