NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- For a second time in a few months, a 9-year-old girl took a relative's car on a joyride from police.
Police said the girl took her mother's keys early Wednesday morning and drove off with her 1-year-old sister, who was unrestrained in the front seat.
The mother woke up when she heard the girl leave the apartment where they were staying, according to police. The mother's boyfriend then saw the car leaving the parking lot of the complex.
The mother flagged down a driver, who happened to be an undercover Metro police officer.
That officer called in help from other undercover officers, who were able to block the girl in at Apache Trail and Haywood Lane after about five minutes.

With these details, I'm not surprised that the mother is having problems already. I can't imagine what this girl will be like in five years if Mom doesn't start parenting her daughter instead of bringing the kids on sleepovers that are all about her personal pleasure.
I am thinking that too. Stealing the car and making a run for it with baby sister may have made perfect sense in the mind of the 9 year old autistic child. The overwhelming majority of times when I read or hear about the molestation of children the perp is usually mom's shack-up boyfriend.
If there’s not anything wrong, and it needs to be investigated, someone needs to keep a better eye on the car keys.
The little girl might just be practicing for the hot car ring mommy’s boyfriend runs.
