That's one of the things I like the best about FR.
I've learned to read the post first, and deal with my preconceived notions later. It's enlightening.
That's a very good point. Maybe it's why, after having participated in so many forums that DID have an "ignore" feature, FR was frustratingly refreshing (is it possible to wrap one's mind around that concept??!) for not having the ignore function, and why I agree now that ignore features are for wimps. It's really NOT that much trouble to just glance or scroll down to the bottom of the post, anyway, and you're accurate in that there have been a few times when I've read such a post and been surprised that the author was not who/what I expected.
I'm only complaining because I'm cranky, and on some threads, some posters get so monotonous amidst so many other really interesting and exciting posters, that I hate having to take the trouble of scrolling/looking at the bottom before choosing to read or skip to the next.
