Florida Rep. Alan Grayson, who has drawn fire for saying Republicans want Americans to "die quickly" if they get sick, expressed regret Friday for comparing the health care crisis to a "holocaust."
Grayson vowed not to use the term again in a letter he sent Friday to the Andrew Rosenkranz, Florida regional director of the Anti-Defamation League, a prominent Jewish organization that fights anti-Semitism.
Grayson evoked the Holocaust during a speech on the House floor Wednesday even though he wasn't referring to the genocide of European Jews in Nazi concentration camps during World War II.
"I call upon all of us to do our jobs for the sake of America, for the sake of those dying people and their families," Grayson said. "I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America."
Grayson, who is Jewish and says he has relatives who died in the Holocaust, said he wrote the letter to address the concerns his comments caused.
"In no way did I mean to minimize the Holocaust," Grayson wrote in the letter obtained by FOXNews.com. "I regret the choice of words, and I will not repeat it."

That makes no sense
Grayson could very well be the poster child for the rat party! He’s got that inquisitive look, he’s the picture of health and he looks a bit like quazimoto, oh yeah and his brain function is about as bright as your 15 watt refrigerator bulb just like his parasitic fiends. I say he’sa shoo in!
Didn’t Sarah hold a massive rally down there last fall?
She is that alright..She won’t be the high ranking capo very much longer when we vote her soldiers out of office..
Central.
This Grayson guy certainly gives everyone a hint about where the Judendienstordnung came from.
He probably will downgrade it now to a simple genocide. Do they have a psychological evaluation before starting political careers? I guess not.
he should regret having a smaller brain
Funny that...I was just watching him being interviewed by Crap Matthews yesterday, beaming like a 2 year old who just leaned a hew bad word to get attention from the adults around him....Proud of how exorcised everyone was about him saying it over and over again. Determined to get a rise from saying it to every adult he saw.
So, maybe you could run “slavery” up the flag pole and see who poops on you.
Kinda reminds me of Michael Moore.
You are probably thinking of the rally she had at the Villages which is a little north of us and was quite a big event.
