Europe has ALWAYS had stronger passport/airport enforcement than the US. Menacing, in fact. You need only travel abroad to find that out.
And how was the border experience attending Olympics in China, Russia, et al??? and freedom of moving about the host countries??
Foreign marathon runners arrive in the US all the time.
They run in Chicago, LA, NY, Boston, Denver.......haven’t heard of a single elite runner being denied entrance in the US.
It seems that the IOC was merely looking for an excuse to spit in O’s face.
I'd rather lose the Olympics than have somebody like Syed Shahid Ali move “dirty bomb” components or—more likely—high-grade heroin through a U.S. point of entry.

The U.S. economy is circling the drain with a real idiot at the helm, and the failing economy can't afford the certainty of pissing away another trillion$ on the most corrupt city/state in the U.S.

Can’t be too difficult. I was in Las Vegas last week and it seemed as if half of the hotel guest were speaking Slovenian—or some such.
But, IF Chicago had been picked to host the Olympics, you can bet it would have Obama’s victory. The media really does think we’re THAT stupid.

Out of politically-correct sympathies for Ali's question, they gained a non-racist excuse to let fly their otherwise held-back disdain for the incompetence of Jarrett and Me-Shell, and Barry's obvious swaggering attempt to influence their decisions with his presence.
