The Joseph story, found in Genesis says that Joseph was sold by his brothers for the sum of 20 shekels of silver,(Genesis 37:28). Later, in Genesis 42:25, Joseph restored every man’s money to his sack. The use of monetary values is nothing new to Genesis,which is part of the Torah, recognised by Christians, Jews, and Moslems as being the word of God. Archaelogy repeatedly verifies the accuracy of the Old Testement. For those who refuse to believe it, no proof will ever be good enough. Those who do believe it need no proof but rejoice with each new archaelogical find.
