Malia is not a Russian name. It's Hawaiian. Sasha is a Russian nickname for girls whose full name is Alexandra.

I would not doubt that the world’s communists are in lala land of ecstasy knowing that one of THEIRS is now in the Presidency of the United States!

Whether or not they knew of Obama back in 1992 - I would not doubt either since his mentor Frank Marshall Davis surely would have had contact with communists the world over.

So interesting...and I never thought about the origin of his daughters’ names as being Russian. Is that truly what they are? Has anybody got any more info from when his children were born as to why he picked those names?

(Didn’t know they were Russian).
