Isreal cares about what the international community thinks, enough so that they have not razed the Dome of the Rock and started rebuilding their Temple.

I know that this is a topic for another thread but let me say this... Israel has not raised the Dome of the Rock because it does not need to be raised in order for the Israelis to rebuild their temple. In fact scripture says (I'm paraphrasing here because I don't feel like looking it up right now; sorry) there will be a wall between the gentiles and the Jews. If the third theory is correct, then they can build their temple without disturbing the other sites.

It would still probably start a war, though.
