By saying that Republican John McCain would have been a worse president than Barack Obama............
(I have no use for the rest of this website's drivel. I just want the substance of what Beck said)
(Excerpt) Read more at theweek.com ...
If McCain had won, we would be getting a watered down version of the militant socialism we’ve got under Obama, but much of the right would’ve been neutralized and the GOP would be completely dead. Imagine a 70+ seat Congress for the Dems in 2010. I’d rather have the enemy in the open than posing as our friend.
Honestly, the “eating our own” was directed at Mark.
In other words, imagine the conservative movement as a pie chart. A certain amount would fit under the paleoconservative tag, some under the social conservative, some under libertarian, some under neoconservative, ect.
I voted for McC only because Sarah was on the ticket.
Levin is a caricature and a buffoon in my opinion. He bitches and whines with that annoying northeast nasally voice about Beck ripping him off, yet he’s like a bad parody of Michael Savage sans the ideas and independence.
As I have been discussing with jeltz25 this is all conjecture. I conjecture that McCain would have back away from cap and trade because of the state of the economy. He did infact say during the campaign we can not aford now to raise taxes. So my conjecture is as well grounded as yours.
I don’t like McCain, but I am will to make an unemotional analysis of what would have been going on under a McCain administration. We have not evidenc you are able to have such an unemotional analysis.
Easy Francis...I would not go that far. Levin is one us and is a great FReeper. My only problem with him is that he is a lawyer. LOL. I hate them all equally.
I guess I also don't think Mark Levin really understands what the Declaration of Independence and Constitution really means because I don't think he's a Christian. I know I shouldn't say that...I don't know...but that's my opinion.
The laws of this country were written for a Christian people...not for lawyers and especially not for statists like McCain and Obama.

He would have bankrupted us with renewables and Cap and Tax...believe it! And the Republicans would have helped him.
Flame suit on
For what it’s worth I can only go by the man’s history with conservatives...with the conservative movement...and his past ideas and policies.
I think McCain is a very bitter man...he is certainly no Reagan republican.
Even I won’t touch that one. But I understand what you’re saying.
I have heard the leftists predicting Rush's demise for 20 years. They have never been right.
As for who may be our "leader." Anyone with a public voice is some type of leader. BUT, nobody is a monolithic leader.
Rush became popular because he spoke what we were thinking and saying in our own circles. He also enlightened some to points that they may not yet had been exposed to. Glenn Beck does the same thing from a different POV. He attacks a different way than Rush against our enemies, but is in the same camp.
Back to what the left say and thinks about our camp. I'm more concerned about our actions than the blatherings of the evil left. That is where my cocnern with Mark Levin comes in.
With McCain you would’ve had a four star socialist turd with a watered down resistance (see Bush, George W). With Obama, you’ve got a five star socialist turd with an ever-growing resistance. For the long term restoration of the republic, I’ll take the fight against he hand picked puppet of the enemy instead of the enemy’s Manchurian Candidate.
Neither was Reagan, but that is another matter I guess. Reagan did have a 11th commandment he prided himself in following.
If you’re going to be a FReeper you’re going to have to have thick skin and be prepared to put up or shut up.
I’m ready for the FReeper Flame throwers to come out. I’m ready to defend why I think our Constitution and Declaration are so beautiful. It’s because of the God’s law, the old testament, and especially the new testament.
Bring it.
I’m definatly gonna get my popcorn out. I wish you luck! lol
Yes he did. I don’t think Levin broke it necessarily. I don’t think he mentioned Beck by name did he? What he attacked was his ideas and lack of coherence.
As bad as I hate having the Kenyan as President. At least for the first time in a long time we have Republicans thinking about what it really means to be conservative rather than just winning elections.
Reagan was a politician. I think what we’re fighting is much bigger than simply Democrat vs. Republican.
I think Beck would tell you that he is not a GOPer. However McCain is.
BTW, I think you have it exactly backwards about the GOP. I think being in the wilderness has led them to worry about winning election and that takes a coherent philosophy as opposed to worrying about whether MSMediots and DC bigwigs like them.
