Well stated. I work for a supplier to GM, and from what I gather sales have died since Cash for Clunkers ended. They are making more cars because the supply was depleted. I think sales will rebound some - but I don’t think the scenario is nearly as rosy as what I’m hearing. Another bigger problem - they actually have to turn a profit on what they sell. I don’t know what the situation at GM is since the bankruptcy, but if you sell 10 million vehicles, but lose money on each one, that is simply not sustainable. Unless we as the taxpayers prop them up - Surprise! Care to venture a guess on what I see coming?-—JM
American taxpayers simply don’t have the money to prop up everything. When a majority of people are receiving more from the government than they pay in taxes it won’t work.
I ain’t no kinds economic expert but here is what I see coming...ZIMBABWE NORTH AMERICAN STYLE.
If they sell enough, they can make it up on volume.
