This scares me. Europeans are not the stupid banzai charge type. One thing that really has me scared is if the Radical Fundie Muslims ever get together with Radical Fundie Christians. Outside of doctrinal differences, they share the same world view.

parsy, who thinks this is when, not if

I disagree here. Fundie Muslims have far more in common with radical Lefties, and would probably work well with Lefty terrorist groups. Points of commonality include the idea that the Individual is unimportant except as far as he serves the interests of the Group (whether the Group is the State or the Ummah is of secondary importance).

Like during the Crusades?

Blue, who thinks radical Christians and Muslims will join forces when hell freezes over.

lol...

I think EVERYTHING is in the doctrinal differences...

Every religion, government or man has the potential to be monstrous. Some are monstrous because of their doctrines and some are in spite of their doctrines. What I can imagine of what a “radical fundie Christian” might be like, I think would be completely incompatible with a “radical fundie Muslim” In fact, I think you just defined the opposing sides of the crusades.

Also, I’m not sure I would be all that scared of what some may define as a “radical fundie Christian”. Now Spanish inquisition types may earn themselves a look down the barrel of my gun, but those weren’t really Christian fundamentalists were they? not even radical ones.

Meh... not all religions are created equal nor are the “radical” members of each.
