From what I have seen it was not Sinclair who called the speech boring. He twittered her remarks and was largely unbiased in his comments. It was the Asia Sentinel a lib newspaper which had a correspondent (not named) calling it “usual boring Republican stuff”.

You are right.
I re-read that post, and I have just read the New York Times piece. The same Cameron Sinclair is quoted in the Tines article, and he is pretty complementary.
Overall, a surprisingly fair, balanced and pretty good article about Saran from The Times. Very unusual. Ummm..what is their game? Something going on I don't know about?

The progressives do not like any conversation that involves finding real solutions or logical conclusions. Of course they find these types of speaches “boring”.
