.....saying he’ll approve an upcoming request only if the forces fit into a strategy to beat back al-Qaida and protect the United States. Huh? WTF does he think more troops are need for? Didn't he listen to the commanders.

You know, I seem to remember, not too long ago, maybe during the campaign that Obummer talked about the need to WIN in Afgan and that Iraq was a distraction.
Now, I guess that the Afgan’s go under the bus, which is a shame, as it will rebound on us down the road.

Why wouldn’t he be skeptical? After all, he has NO military experience, No command or executive experience [the only thing he’s run in his life is his mouth - and then only if the teleprompter is working], no foreign policy experience, or for that matter, vision. All he has is ego, an inability to listen to anyone not buying “the program”, the guile of a street hustler, and a spine composed of overcooked vermicelli.
