Here's what's happening in Asheville, NC on October 17th from 12:00 to 2:00 at our local ABC affiliate WLOS. We are demonstrating against the local 'fringe' channel who did not report on the Tea Party in Washington, D.C> which they say will be coordinated with nation wide protests against the main stream media. See map at http://snipr.com/rzr8p Saturday, October 17, 2009 Noon to 2:00 PM This is an opportunity for anyone who is opposed to the Mainstream Media's continual refusal to report the news of the day fairly, accurately, and thoroughly, and their efforts to marginalize all those who oppose the agenda of the current Congress and executive Administration. We will begin by staging a public protest rally at our local ABC affiliate, WLOS. This will coincide with identical protest rallies taking place nationwide. We will continue our effort with a two part campaign to send a message to the television networks and cable news networks that we will not tolerate their abdication of their duty. Part One - We will commit to tuning out all programming on ABC, CBS, and NBC, to include news and entertainment. No one will watch anything on any of these three channels. Part Two - We will also commit to writing letters to the major advertisers with MSNBC and CNN, promising to cease from buying their products so long as they continue spending their advertising dollars with these two cable news networks.
