Aside from the obvious anti-Israel (and as far as I’m concerned, plain anti-Jewish ethos in Brez’s comments); and since Brez is supposed to be a far-sighted policy wonk; let’s consider what might happen NEXT if his advice were followed:
Israel’s airforce is damaged;
Israel’s enemies, seeing the above, and the US animosity towards Israel, decide now is the best time to attack;
Hezbollah and Hamas begin war, aided, and later joined by, Syria, Iran, and maybe even Egypt (if Israel appears to be losing)
So the result of the US turning on Israel is not peace, but almost guaranteed war.
Israel will then need US help and replacements for its losses (including the aircraft lost to the US)
Thus a second result is the US having to replace the air losses, plus much more, in order to avoid an Israeli defeat (which the US public would not accept).
Does Brez ever THINK ahead? For a presidential advisor, isn’t thinking ahead about the consequences of one’s actions a part of one’s job description?
Somewhere in that timeline should be
ISRAEL LAUNCHES 100 NUKES AND WIPES OUT SYRIA IRAN EGYPT PAKISTAN AND TELLS THE REST OF ISLAM TO SURRENDER OR DIE.
Why would a Muslim from Kenya care? seriously.
If Brezinski said this under Bush administration he would be laughed at.
Do you see anyone laughing?
You're underestimating him. He, like Zero, isn't concerned about any consequences to Israel OR to the USA. He's just one more radical/criminal, one of many, that Zero has surrounded himself with.
"If Americans knew that this is the "foreign minister" of a terrorist group specializing in killing women and children first in a hospital, then in a school, and later defenseless civilians in a theater, their indignation might grow into rage."
"Under an Obama administration, Americans will risk getting a reminder of what real war looks like, and they may discover that it is a two-way street."
