The 3 of us have been pointing out how so called no profits
take their donations to prop up and maintain liberals in political offices.

Then there are examples of how that money goes to a Green Friend that is not a non profit as you noted.

We are seeing this in the food industry at all levels under the guise of Sustainable Resources.

Two decades ago, the corporation I worked for began to turn very liberal at the top.

One of the things they pushed was the UW campaign. Cards to allow payroll deductions for UW were handed out by middle and top management in union thug manner at meetings. They didn’t even want you to take the card home. You were supposed to fill it out then and hand it back.

I refused and told my boss that neither my wife or I made any financial commitment like this to any charity without talking to each other. I got glares from my boss, his boss and the national boss when I refused to sign at that time.
I ended up sending the card in for a $/week deduction, the minimum.

The company’s headquarters were were in NJ and that was where the money went. We found out later that a large amount ended up in UW’s home office in Virginia. Then the scandal broke:

“A scandal tarnished the United Way’s image in 1992. William Aramony, the president of United Way of America since 1970, was indicted on charges of appropriating at least $600,000 of the association’s money to support a lavish lifestyle, including limousine rides and relations with a mistress. Hundreds of member agencies temporarily cut their ties with the national organization. In the wake of the scandal, United Way of America adopted a code of ethics and created a committee to monitor the agency’s conduct. It also implemented tighter financial controls. In 1995 Aramony was convicted on 25 felony counts and sentenced to seven years in prison.”

I mailed a copy of an article exposing the scandal to payroll and told them to cancel my weekly deduction with copies to my bosses at all levels.

Afterwards, I carried copies of that article and a copy of our legit IRS charity donations to have if I was challenged for not donating. The next year when the annual thug hit for UW was coming at a meeting, I gave my new boss at the time a copy of the above and asked to be excused from the meeting. I was excused and not bothered.

Since then the gays who run UW have done terrible things to the BSA. Planned parenthood gets money, and who knows if Acorn has been funded.

No problem - I had doubts too. Here’s a tape about the two kids who brought down ACORN. You might enjoy it - there’s more stuff coming out...

We need to keep the pressure up - I suspect United Way supports ACORN and other organizations just as corrupt.

Conservatives must STOP donating to liberal organizations.

...donates or has donated to ACORN and the list is getting longer and longer. Rotary clubs, women’s groups, Bank of America, SEIU, and just getting started. Is it worth making a list of smaller groups like Rotary Clubs?

ACORN: Feed the beast-it get larger.

Not counting “their” percentage for the privilege of using them as a clearing house for donations.

I won’t ever donate through the UW again. Donate directly and your organization of choice gets all of it.

ACORN is mentioned a few times on other United Way sites. It certainly would not be surprising. I don’t when UW does their fund drives but would expect many prior donors to do some double checking prior to contributing any more:

e.g.
United Way of Snohomish County, WA

http://volunteer.united-e-way.org/uwsc/org/10255805985.html

But there is the usual disclaimer:
“The inclusion of any organization or person in this database does not constitute a representation, warranty, or endorsement with respect to the competence, suitability, or reliability of such organization or person by The Volunteer Center at United Way of Snohomish County; nor does The Volunteer Center at United Way of Snohomish County sponsor or endorse any third-party web site.”

Some other sites are:

Bay Area San Francisco United Way
http://www.theunitedway.org/grants/grants_income.php

But here they do list ACORN as receiving grants and list the names of the grants:
Grantee:  Acorn - Oakland
Grantee:  Acorn - Richmond
Grantee:  Acorn - San Francisco
Grantee:  Acorn Of San Mateo
Grantee:  Acorn- San Mateo County

Tampa Bay United Way lists ACORN as a Nonprofit Organization

Old article on
Homesteading Program, Chicago
http://www.nhi.org/online/issues/90/homestead.html
showing ACORN housing received some funds from United Way in Chicago

Brown County Green Bay, WI

Then you have multiple charities that have nothing to do with UNITED WAY who also share contributions with ACORN.

E.g.
http://www.saintpaulfoundation.org/

“Welcome to the world of Minnesota Community Foundation and The Saint Paul Foundation. We’re two community foundations, working together to create a new era of impact through charitable giving. By mobilizing our resources, we’re building strong communities, where all people can find hope and opportunities to enrich their lives”

See ACORN housing on their recipients list in 2007 for example

http://www.saintpaulfoundation.org/client_files/Documents/Grants/grants_2007_TSPF_yearend-list.pdf

ACORN has their hand out everywhere. Which is not surprising.

Rural Assistance Center
http://www.raconline.org/
goes to
U.S. Bancorp Foundation Grants
“The U.S. Bancorp Foundation giving program is designed to respect the diversity of our communities. We are actively involved in our communities, partnering with local nonprofits to meet specific needs within each community.”

goes to
http://www.reivisa.com/about/community_relations/pdf/2003StateGrantListsfinal.pdf
Organizations receiving grants from the U.S. Bancorp Foundation in 2003 include:
ACORN

“I just did a quick google of who donates or has donated to ACORN and
the list is getting longer and longer. Rotary clubs, women’s groups,
Bank of America, SEIU, and just getting started.”

Those donations by the organizations/companies have a street name:
“Hush Money”.
Or just Bribes to buy the silence of a group like ACORN that can put
an army of protestors shouting “RACISM” around each of your company
branches in no time at all.
