Burt I can see why she hasn't been able to get hitched yet.

Laura was about a month from the altar when her cancer was discovered. The guy dropped her. When she recovered she realized she was unlikely to find someone, get married, and have kids at her age, so she adopted rather than be childless. What does her brother's homosexuality have to do with anything? Did you want her to denounce him and cut him off?

yeah, I know all that. So you pick yourself up & try again. But don't be selfish and raise a child w/o a father. She's putting tha cart before the horse. She touts her newly-found Catholicism, yet she's building her family in an un-Biblical way.

Re: her gay brother. He's a sinner just like the rest of us. But obviously, something must have gone awry in his upbringing. I believe it is a "learned response" triggered by a troubled chidhood. As an example, a kid I grew up & his brother grew up with only their mother, who coddled & babied them them & didn't let them just be little boys. There father took off when they were toddlers. BOTH turned out to be gay. There have been many studies done on this & other family disfunction, leading to abnormal sexuality in adulthood.

Not sure if Laura ever tried to get her brother some help...but I hope she at least prays for him.
