Did the “lady” in fact shoot her husband as she said on the tape? If that admission was made and it was true, then in no way could she claim they were joking.

Irrelevant. The woman may be a looney-toon, maybe she's a drug addict. None of it has to be true at all.

She appeared to go along with the story. Why? Perhaps because she's loony. OR because that IS what ACORN does, as we've seen in 3 other videos.

i did see something on biggovernment.com about someone who thought tresa looked familiar, and thought she looked like someone on the show intervention.

just did a quick imdb search and there was a ‘tressa’ in season two. might be nothing, though.
