a 20-30 seat change for Republicans. Two getting voted out could be Dodd and Reid.

20-30 sounds high for the Senate, he must have been talking about the House.

In the senate, according to Wikipedia (not always 100% accurate) there are 36 Senate seats in the 2010 elections (which sounds a little high, but I think Hillary Clinton's seat and maybe one other are to fill out the remainder of a term).

18 of these seats are currently held by each party. Even split. If Republicans win every seat, they will only pick up 18 seats in the Senate.

In the house, losing only 20-30 seats sounds wildly optimistic for the Democrats.
