The girlfriend:

Clarissa Flores Buhelos

“He said Kelly’s girlfriend apparently found him at a Country Club Hills lumberyard and speculated he may have been trying to retrieve items from a storage area.”

Why would you be retrieving something from storage if you’re going to commit suicide?

This gets curioser and curioser.

CHICAGO, Ill. – An Illinois mayor says the former chief fundraiser for ousted Gov. Rod Blagojevich told a police officer before he died that “he did take an overdose.”

Country Club Hills Mayor Dwight Welch said Sunday that authorities found a variety of drugs in a vehicle belonging to 51-year-old Christopher Kelly. Kelly died Saturday at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital in Chicago and Welch says police are investigating the death as suicide.

Welch says police want to interview 30-year-old Clarissa Flores-Bunelos (flor-EHZ boon-EH-los) of Chicago, who identified herself as Kelly’s girlfriend. The mayor also says police want to talk to a man who came to Oak Forest Hospital, where Kelly was initially treated, looking for Kelly’s black Cadillac Escalade.
