Based on the crowd noise in the background, which made hearing Dawn difficult for me, the participants did not view 1.5 million as a “failure to meet expectations”. I would urge journalists who wish to retain their reputations not rely on the Democrats 2 million estimate as a false goalpost of success.
UPDATE: Doing a bit of math, since 2 million is double for those who attended Obama’s inauguration about 9 months ago, that means 500,000 more Americans are protesting his administration than who came to celebrate its start. No wonder he flew to Minnesota today — no reason to be distracted by the “little people”.
