Speaker Nancy Pelosi has agreed the House should vote next week on scolding Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) for his outburst during President Barack Obama's speech unless he apologies on the floor of the House.
"There was a violation of the rules of the House," said Pelosi spokesman Brendan Daly. "It needs to be resolved by an apology or a resolution."
A Democrat will introduce a "resolution of disapproval" Monday or Tuesday unless Wilson formally apologizes on the House floor. The House returns Monday.
Wilson shouted "You lie!" Wednesday night during Obama's speech to a joint session of Congress, after Obama said his health care plan would not cover illegal immigrants.
Wilson apologized Wednesday evening and, on Thursday, Obama said he accepted Wilson’s apology.
Wilson spokesman Ryan Murphy indicated the congressman will not apologize on the House floor.
Murphy told the Associated Press Wilson "apologized to the president and the president accepted and said let's move on and have a civil discourse, and the congressman agrees."
Several House leaders and many rank-and-file Democrats pushed Thursday for some sanction against Wilson. Pelosi (D-Calif.) knocked down the idea, saying it would distract Congress from its work on healthcare.

I’ve been watching these boring presidential speeches for years. Seems to me the GOP Presidents have been taking crap for years. I know I’ve heard booing and shouting and protesting....although I can’t remember specifics. Anyway, Obama was lying (or his calculator was broken) which shouldn’t be lost in all this. Also, more damaging than the ‘You lie’ comment was the mocking laugh when Obama said, “There are still details to work out.” Now, that sort of thing I’m certain I have never heard.
Wilson should offer to apologize on the House floor the day Obama stops by and precedes him with an apology for calling the opponents of his amorphous “Obamacare” scheme “liars” in his speech to Congress, and Pelosi apologizes for calling her CIA briefers “liars”. Until then, Obama’s party members in Congress should shut up about “decorum” and “civility”. If the Prez and Speaker of the House won’t lead by example, then they and their minions can just go and fume in the corner like the spoiled personalities they are.
It seems odd that these politicians have nothing better to do than play high school games! It also seems that the whole batch needs replaced!!!!!! All of them......

Yeah Nancy, go for it. A real liar calling a person who told the truth a liar. That sounds about right for her pig level.
If this slight of decorum of the House is offensive then so is the rapacious standing ovations the Pres__ent gets. I fail to see the difference.
I'd frame her words on a large poster directly in front of my desk, so I would NEVER forget that GLORIOUS day. Print them & send them to supporters so we can all have a good laugh & a dose of resolve.

Nancy, if you fold that letter of reprimand in half you can wipe your a** with it twice.
Only apology needed is from the ‘Liar-in-Chief’.
These people share an unmatched conceit of arrogance and they have an endless supply of vindictiveness. This ‘issue’ also creates in their minds a sympathetic distraction from the critical issue at hand. They will keep it going.
What a sunt. She supports a tax cheat to run the Ways and Means Committee with no apology and she wants to censure a patriot for speaking the truth.

He needs to give an apology on the house floor like this: “I’m sorry for shouting during the President’s speech to the joint session of Congress, however I stand by my statement that the President lied on numerous occasions during the speech. Such as...” And then proceed to list every lie the President told with the evidence to back up each claim. Keep on talking until Nancy has to cut him off (it shouldn’t be hard to keep talking about all the lies Obama has spewed over the past several months). It would be a perfect opportunity to turn the tables on the Democrats.
Actually; given they act with 'no rules of engagement'; and end justifies whatever means it takes to assure their victory; and personal destruction of the innocent is simply a 'given'. . .they really are, little frickin terrorists. . .
It seems like game playing to us but the fundraising boost they’re getting from this crap must be phenomenal. Wilson’s opponent supposedly has received a million $ from the Left. Further rough treatment of him will only bring in more to SC Dhimmis, the DNC—all of them.
The Dhimmis haven’t delivered on socialized medicine, card check, or cap&tax. They look impotent to the far Left, which is the source of most of their campaign $.
Bash Republicans and nearly everything will be overlooked by the nutroots.
