your claim of ‘african’ being a choice on the Hawaii BC

I never claimed it was a "choice". No one has even shown that there was a defined set of choices on 1961 Hawaiian long-from BC's. I only claim that it is plausible that in at least one instance, someone was allowed to write "African" in this blank.

“I never claimed it was a “choice”. “

Really?
Do you REALLY want me to call up the post numbers where you said exactly that?

“I only claim that it is plausible that in at least one instance, someone was allowed to write “African” in this blank.”

No such blank existed in 1961.
Your choices were what was ON the PAPER.
Period.
And yes, “negro” was used in 1961.

Parents did NOT fill out the BC's. You get a form with questions. Parents fill out the form and turn it in to the hospital and they send it to the state. Race is a multiple choice.

Don't have kids either huh.
