And - fundamentally - I dont think the courts should interfere in the political process.
I won't pretend to speak for anyone else but ultimately I believe that Obama was elected through a legitimate process in accordance with state and federal election laws, as flawed as they may be, and, sadly, I believe that he received more legitimate votes than his opponent. While I don't like the outcome, there are consequences to running lackluster campaigns with uninspiring candidates which is what the Republicans are currently learning.
As such, I believe that trying to fight Obama in the courtroom over perceived eligibility issues will be fruitless and quite possibly counterproductive. With the Birthers, I am reminded of various left wing groups that spent the last eight years trying in vain to get Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc. imprisoned for war crimes. They were as fervent in their belief that success was right around the corner as the Birthers are. Eventually, these organizations were marginalized by the Democrats who chose to pursue a different, more successful course of action.
