This goes beyond telling the truth. What Wilson did was an absolute political masterstroke in that it makes the focus of the post-speech news stories on his outburst while the "substance" of Obama's speech is relegated to the back burner AND since it puts focus on the health care for illegals issue, raises the issue in the public's eye.

IOW, the only thing folks are going to remember from this speech are that a Congressman yelled "You LIE!" when Obama claimed his plan wouldn't cover illegals.

Biden and the other Dems complaining about this are being incredibly stupid, because it just further perpetuates the distraction from the message they should (and NEED to) be making. I don't know McCain or Graham's real reasoning for their criticism, but even if it's not with the right intentions they are still doing the right thing by keeping the "You LIE!" story alive.

It's all about etiquette. There is a time and place for everything and there are settings where certain things are crude, inappropriate and disrespectful.
