Frankly, IMO, even if it came to light...even if BO were to make a prime-time televised speech to inform the country that he was, in fact, NOT a natural born citizen, there would be nothing we could do.
There are far to many powerful people, left wing extremist organizations, anti-constitution and communist organizations, ... not to mention more than half of the voting citizens, who would insist he remain POTUS. They worship him...literally. IMO, only our military could pry his commie backside out of the WH.
I've been wondering about the "end game" if definitive proof is found that Obama wasn't really born in Hawaii. By "proof", I mean that not only is the Kenyan BC validated, but his "long form" BC in Hawaii is also found to be insufficient to establish his birth in Hawaii.
If that occurs, I wouldn't expect Obama to resign. He will have been perpetuating this subterfuge for a long time, hoping that no one would figure it out until it was "too late". He wouldn't just throw in the towel.... he would hang on as long as he could.
I wouldn't expect the Supreme Court to do anything, either. I think they would consider this an issue to be settled by Congress under the articles of impeachment in the Constitution. Yes, I know that Obama wouldn't be eligible, but he was sworn in, and I think the Court would wash their hands of it. And even if they didn't, it wouldn't be resolved until after the 2012 elections rendered it a moot point.
Of course, I wouldn't expect the current Congress to do anything. As many have already pointed out, at least some of the Congressional leadership would have to already known what has happened, and would have even participated in this hypothetical subterfuge.
If it becomes widely known that Obama wasn't eligible to be President, and that he intentionally concealed it, the backlash would be tremendous. Of course, there will be the 20-30% that will support him, no matter what. But, the reaction of the rest will range from "I wish he would just leave" to "get the hell out, now!".
If that happens, the civil unrest would be unlike anything we have seen in the past few generations. The anti-war protests of the 60's would be nothing in comparison. There would be monthly (or more often) protests in Washington that fills the Mall from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial. If nothing else, it would really boost the hospitality industry in and around DC, as all the hotels would be full.
The Democrats would try to pretend nothing is wrong. And therein would lie the opportunity for the Republicans: All they have to do is run a candidate for every seat in the House of Representatives on a platform of "Impeach Obama". And do the same for every Senate seat.
The results would exceed the 1994 election. The only question would be: would the Republicans (again) squander the opportunity to restore some fiscal sanity to the US government?
