I appreciated it and regret it at the same time. It made me feel good. But we need to respect the office of the Presidency for the good of the nation.
Consider the lows the dems would stoop to if this were deemed acceptable behavior.
Again, I am glad he did it. I am glad he apologized. He should apologize all day tomorrow and go on talk shows to do it. But I loved it and am glad he did it. It was exactly what I was saying at the same time.

But we need to respect the office of the Presidency for the good of the nation. The president is a public servant, not a monarch. He owes a duty of civility to the people he serves. Obama shirked that duty today. His entire speech was one long condescending sneer in which he essentially accused half of the country of dishonesty or worse.
He had no moral claim to civility. After attacking half the country as liars, he had no cause to justly complain that someone called him on his dishonesty in the same speech.

The Ted Kennedy letter scheme was so sad to listen too. Rush will have a great show just on that part alone. The Joe Wilson event will be in the press for days and so will the Dead Ted letter too.

What does it mean to "respect the office of the

When a liar lies, you should call him on it.
