What Cong. Wilson shouted was true, but the forum was inappropriate. He didn’t backtrack on what he said, only the circumstances under which he said it.
Unless we want the US Congress to become like the British Parliament, we should appreciate the decorum demanded there. Cong. Wilson can speak out his truth in other forums. And, I imagine, he will be in big demand in the coming days and have plenty of opportunity to do so.
The very people who think he shouldn’t have apologized would have been properly outraged if an anti-war Congressman had similarly shouted out to President Bush during one of his addresses to the Congress. We don’t want to start a precedent.
Wilson showed class to apologize so quickly and publicly.
I have news for you.
When Bro' Obama and his unelected czars be gettin' full control, we won't even HAVE a House of Representatives and Senate.
LOL! I remember football before Mark Gastineau...whose war dances over a sacked quarterback changed the NFL.
You may have a point.
