I think he apologized for lack of civility, not for what he said... just how and where he said it.

Since Nancy has been in power, I assume that she has employed investigators for dirt on every Republican to use as leverage.

You can see it in his face. Reagan would have laughed it off.

That's fine. He can send his minions around to talk to us and campaign on behalf of this BS, and whatever else, and I'll smile, and maybe bow or courtsy, but then they turn to walk away and it's a 2X4 soaked in motor-oil for 20 years that's going to smack'em right upside their head and send them headlong into the gutter where they belong (That's all metaphorical of course).
These people are from the ditch ~ they should be pushed back where they came from.

Wilson did the right thing to call out a liar. He apologized to the President, and I have no problem with that. The office deserves respect.
The current occupant of the office spent a lot of time calling his opponents liars in that speech, and he needed to be called out. He is a political bully, and Joe Wilson stood up to him.
Wilson can and perhaps should apologize for his outburst, but he should stand by his words.

It’s a non-apology apology. It’s perfect. He’s saying, “I still think you’re lying, I just shouldn’t have said it at that moment.”

If you have read the history of the founding fathers and trials they and their families went through, they would be very disappointed in Joes apology, especially being in Congress when speaking truth to power!
On the other hand what does it say about the Power when you are afraid for your children when you speak the truth?

No joke, Obama said the word lie first and no one blink an eye.

And when he stands by his words, we need to have his back.
I am Joe

Exactly. It is against decorum I’m sure but what’s done is done.
To: Severino
He said it, it’s out there forever, and his sincere apology is recorded. All bases covered. If the media wants to gloat about this, they will have to explain the background, which will drive them nuts. Good for Joe.
To: pgyanke; All
I agree! No apology needed!

CNN was the only network willing to cover the Wilson outburst.
To: TornadoAlley3
To me, what’s really cool is the reaction of obama and pelousy—obama shouldn’t have reacted. Note that he says “not true.” By responding, he validates what Wilson says, IMO.
