“That's why under my plan, individuals will be required to carry basic health insurance – just as most states require you to carry auto insurance.”

Carry it or what? He doesn't say. Will we become criminals? Is this an improvement over our current condition? A new set of laws that turn law abiding citizens into criminals?

An elderly woman I know recently went to rent an apartment to a very hard working and respectful young man. She decided to run a background check on him before signing the contract, and it turned out that he was a convicted felon. His crime? He was caught driving without car insurance, and was unable to pay the fine. Now he's locked out of many jobs and housing opportunities. Is this what the government will do with healthcare? Anytime the government wants to force you to do something, they have to have a way to penalize you for not doing what they say. Typically that includes a trial, a fine, and possible jail time. We should expect that people will end up facing criminal penalties if they do not comply with this law. I'm so glad Mr. Obama and the Democrats have decided to help us all out by inventing a new set of crimes of which to convict us.

He says that what he is proposing tonight is “HIS” plan.

Well I would like to see “HIS” plan in writing, so we can look at it page by page, word by word!

Lets see “YOUR” plan Mr. President!
