Candidates’ stances on gun issues emerge
The Sacramento Bee - Wednesday, September 3, 2003
Author: Herbert A. Sample ; Bee Staff Writer

EXCERPT

One of the most progressive candidates in the race, independent Arianna Huffington , also backs further gun restrictions.

“People with power need to use that power responsibly and accountably,” said a spokesman, Van Jones . “Picking up a gun gives you a whole lot of power in that moment. We need to make sure that people with access to that power have been properly vetted, have proper training and can be held accountable for their actions.”

We need to make sure there’s no replacement. WE DON’T NEED A GREEN-JOBS CZAR!

Green is the new Red.

OK, here's my take on this. Obama can now come out and say that they got rid of Jones because he did not represent the vision and opinions of his administration. Of course, we all know that Jones’ ideology is exactly why 0bama chose him. The ls-media won't cover this issue from the true point of view no matter what. Now that Jones has resigned, we radical right-wingers will get the blame for being racist and against 0bama just because he is black. They are the victims, remember. Had he not resigned, he would have continued to arrogantly speak out against capitalism, whites, and the US. I believe there would have been no way that 0bama would have been able to distance himself from this guy and then EVERYONE would be clear on the objectives of this administration. IMO, Jones would have been a valuable resource to conservatives all the way through the 2012 elections.

Exerpt from CNN 6 minutes ago:

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The resignation of Obama administration figure Van Jones, following controversies over a petition he had signed and his comments about Republicans, did not come at the request of the president, the White House senior adviser said Sunday.

"Absolutely not -- this was Van Jones' own decision," David Axelrod told NBC's "Meet the Press" when asked if the president had ordered the resignation.

Outstanding. Send the ears and the tail to Glen Beck.

This also establishes a useful precedent: foaming-at-the-mouth radical communists can be forced to resign from the Obama Administration. It’s a target-rich environment...

I love the way the article is couched. The lead is he said mean things to Republicans and then he was involved in asking for investigations of 9/11. Nothing about his other interesting connecgtions.

But, nevertheless he’s outta there.
