I agree with others who note that the GOP has been largely AWOL on this and every other fight we’re in.
Its been mostly Beck, Limbaugh, Palin, Cheney, Beck, and Limbaugh.
Note to any would-be presidential candidates out there. If your name isn’t on the list, you’d better get on the list or don’t bother calling come campaign season. I’ve got no use for anyone who is AWOL right when it counts.

This Van Jones business has been percolating for months now, and if it were not for the efforts of the internet, and websites like Free Republic who have been talking about this from the beginning, nobody would be any the wiser about Van Jones. The major Media have largely ignored this story all along so what reporting they do has little or no context.
This scandal is providing some very raw insight into the exact questions Freepers have been raising hell about since Obama first hit the National scene with his campaign. Conservatives and Republican have been demonized in the media for even suggesting that there was anything questionable about this or any other “Czar” that Obama has appointed. Now the very things we have all seen coming or suspected about these appointments all along are being proven to be largely true.
The longer Jones is allowed to stay, the louder the complaints will grow and eventually Jones will probably be canned. I am still giving attractive odds that Obama is arrogant enough to try and let this one die down on it’s own...
But let’s not lose sight of the very revealing information we are getting about the utter lack of vetting that has taken place, along with the fact that someone with a lot of authority had to directly over-ride the Secret Service before Jones could have even visited the White House.
Even if Jones is fired tonight, I think tremendous damage has already been done to Obama...
