Here is a modern evo-cretinist making sure his students learn about both sides of the debate between evolution and intelligent design.

Debate? Sure. This would be a good one for debate class.

But science? No. There is no real scientific debate going on. At best ID has so far been a collection of scientific attacks on the theory of natural selection, and they have all failed.

This brings forth my BIGGEST problem with IDers. Even if you want to call ID a scientific theory, it is still far on the fringe of science, battling for acceptance. That kind of stuff should not get taught in grade school. Grade school is a place for accepted scientific theory, and for now that is natural selection.

Your Wedge Document showed the IDer's scheme to promote ID. Their plan relied on publicity, appeals to religion, and other non-scientific means to push ID into schools long before it is ever accepted science. They wanted to get just a few publications out there so they could say "it's science" and get it into schools.

Schools reflect the science. Schools are not the place to push a new theory in hopes the kids will grow up accepting it. It's a warping of the scientific method, and a travesty for education.

Actually, it is your Temple of Darwin co-religionists who are the ones on the fringe. The vast majority of Americans (from both political parties) believe both side of the origins debate should be taught, and yet a tiny clique of jackbooted evo-religionists are holding the entire scientific establishment hostage, all the while forcing Joe Taxpayer to subsidize their religious stranglehold over the ideology of science.

And speaking of being on the fringe, when it comes to the origins debate, the Evos have zero explanation for the origin of the genetic code, whereas both Creationist and ID scientists point to the fact that the only known empirically verified source of complex, specified digital codes is intelligent design. As such, ID is currently THE BEST explanation for the genetic code, as the Evos have absolutely nothing except failed origin of life experiments to bolster their unscientific evo-religion.

Schools reflect the science.

LOL!

Schools reflect godless secular humanism...and failed liberal indoctrination from evolution to global warming...but most certainly NOT the science!

Any conservative on FR worth his salt understands this basic fact.

Schools are not the place to push a new theory in hopes the kids will grow up accepting it. It's a warping of the scientific method, and a travesty for education.

And anyone that wasn't indoctrinated in failed liberal public schools in the first place understands you've got this backwards also...because before the NEA and other liberal lunatics with multiple hang-ups with God hijacked education, people comfortably discussed God in His own creation, including in science class.

So to pretend this is new...or worse yet will warp the scientific method or even worse yet result in a travesty to education...

Once again, just WOW! Indeed liberals have no shame whatsoever!

Liberals are no shining examples when it comes to warping scientific methods and have NO business lecturing normal people about education when they've run it completely into the ground!

I guess repeat the lie often enough...huh?

Schools are not the place to push a new theory in hopes the kids will grow up accepting it.

Yet that's exactly what did happen and is happening with the ToE.

Problem is, the indoctrination isn't going so well, because the majority of people still believe in creation of some kind. Only a very small percent accept the naturalistic, materialistic kind of evolution that is the only kind allowed to be taught in public schools.
