Many scientists are . . . (how to put this nicely) somewhat deficient in the areas of vocabulary, spelling, etc. I'm married to one, but on the other hand HE can do differential equations in his head . . . . to each his own.

They ought to run it by somebody if they're not sure, especially word problems.

I read and write for a living, so the little spell-check button in my head gets an awful lot of use and it's stuck permanently in the "ON" position.

Good on ya for getting that letter read on the radio. That will make the principal shake so hard his teeth will fall out.

When I’m watching cop shows on TV, and the bad guy screams, “I didn’t do nothin’!”, I wonder why the cops don’t take arrest him on the spot. Being a double negative, it’s basically a confession.
