Two frequent political rivals are joining forces to pursue radical changes to the nation's voter-registration system, a bid aimed in part at eliminating massive voter drives by groups such as ACORN that last year saw people fraudulently registering under the names of cartoon characters and sports figures.
The two prominent election lawyers - who advised Sens. John Kerry and John McCain during their respective presidential campaigns - want states to place the name of every eligible citizen on the voter rolls, rather than having people affirmatively register to vote, as they do now.

Good idea, but it’s DOA simply because it would put the 0rganizer-in-Chief out of a job.
NO NO> Jaun is at it again. How can we ever get rid of that RINO.
I can’t believe John Heinz ketchup Kerry would do this. I think it’s for show (election coming up?) knowing it will never pass.
Read it again. Basicly they are going to automaticly register every voter, whether they wanted to be registered or not.
A significant portion of the Dem electorate (the young, minorites) are very apathetic about registering, much less voting. This will just make it easier for them to vote.
I would believe it to be true to stop ACORN if someone other than John McCain try to fix a problem.
Well, these guys do have an impressive track record.
I’ve got to agree. JF’nK is planning to roll McLame. Al Querry already knows how they will get around any specific prohibitions. McLame is not our best advocate.
It figures that McCain would support "stopping" ACORN by giving them something they've wanted all along. Which then would free them up to do - what? I think we can guess.
need to show support for this
With an opt-in system, you get people on the rolls that at least intended to vote.
The ACORN technique of putting many many people on the list is because of a common vote fraud technique in which you ask for extra ballots, then when the polls close you take all the people on the list who did not show up, and “vote” their name for the correct candidate.
A precinct that shows 98% turnout and 80% in favor of Candidate (D) is a clue that this has happened.
So taking “all eligible” voters inflates the list considerably.
There is another problem, too, the list you use has to be up-to-date with names, addresses all correct so that the right precinct gets the right list- else there will be many people who moved who can’t vote, and illegals and homeless would be locked out (naturally we can “statistically adjust” the vote tally to account for these instances of social injustice).
Now here’s a proposal I can support.
1) Who controls the census?
2) Who actually counts the votes?
The Ostalinists have no intention of relinquishing power via some prole mechanism like honest elections now that they've slimed their way into office. Power was their goal, not democracy, and they've got it.
This is not a good move.
It is another back-door effort to make it easier to commit successful voter fraud.
here is one reason why.
Where I live there has been an ongoing scam run by democrats for years.
Democrats working in the election office comb the voter roles for registered voters who have a history of not voting.
They pass this information on to others who submit absentee ballots in the names of these legitimately registered voters.
No one is the wiser unless the real voter tries to cast a vote after the bogus absentee ballot has been submitted.
In that case, the real voter is denied the right to cast a vote as the records show they have already voted.
If they demand they may be allowed to cast a provisional ballot and file a complaint.
But it is rare to have the original ballot overturned and promises they will hear from election office officials are rarely, if ever, kept.
Election fraud bump.
I trust nothing when Kerry and McCain get together.
Both did serve in Vietnam, though.
They want to destroy you and the White middle-class...And, they're using your money to do it.
We're losing our country.
Everyone Must Do Something Everyday.
Avoid buying union produced goods or employing union thugs at every opportunity...they’re campaigning against you.
