In order to post a comment, I would have to sign up for the ABC news blog. I will not increase their member base, which would increase their ad revenue. But it was an interesting story, thanks for the ping.

Texas has a Parents Bill of Rights that gives us the right to exempt our children from any instruction that goes against our religious or moral code of ethics. Additionally, my county ISD has announced the broadcast will only be shown in social studies classes, and only on a site by site basis. A site based group will decide if their campus will be included in the broadcast. The Superintendent said he did not agree with stopping the entire school to listen to the broadcast and a location would be available for anyone who wanted to opt out of the broadcast if it was shown in their classroom. He also said NO GRADES can be given for this broadcast.

Gotta love living in a largely conservative county.
