This is the downside of social networking sites. Posting any personal information on the internet is a bad idea. What if a “friend” on Facebook turned out to be a criminal? Who could use this information?

If you play smart on the internet you always use an IP hiding service. If you insist on using things like Facebook, make up a yahoo, Gmail or whatever email and use it only for that one thing. Nothing else. Never use your real birth date on Face Book. I wouldn’t even use my real name. Use your dog’s name and inform your friends how to find you. Granted, none of this is fool proof, but why make it easy for them?
By the way, Facebook is evil.
