Our Lord acknowledged that we are to pay our taxes — but nowhere in scripture does Our Lord advocated government handouts.
The message of the New Testament is clear — charity is for each individual to accomplish and for each church to assist.
The lefties never get tired of telling the same lies over and over — perhaps their lord is the father of lies?

(If Catholic voters were true to their faith there would be no abortion and no President Obama.)
