Still, its the highest rate on record for Detroit.

So Obama’s eunuchs in the state run “media” would call this “historical”, right?

Mom just sold our home on the East Side of Detroit. My parents should have moved thirty years ago, but loved the house. Went for $26K. If house was in Grosse Pointe it would have gotten over $90K, even in this depressed environment.

Even with full employment that town would still be a cess pool.

Unemployment is definitely higher than stated everywhere. They just stop counting people once they drop off the rolls. Poof! I would bet detroit has levels closer to %50.

Right-wing, racist Republicans are in charge of Detroit, right?

They’ve actually got a mayor who seems to get it. Dave Bing says its not the job of government to provide jobs.

We tried to sell our home in Michigan two years ago. At the time it was worth over $150,000. Now it’s about $50,000.

50 union bus drivers decided to call in sick (blue flu) and Bing decided that the busses ran fine without them so he canned them. Shades of Reagan. The city of Detroit has a businessman at the helm. The guy they put in charge of the school board is also kicking ass and taking names.
