S/he claims to be a professor but thinks Hitler was elected to an office, which he wasn’t, ever.

Back to the History books with you. Hitler was elected with a plurality of a three-way vote.

Perhaps I spoke too soon. Wikipedia says Hitlers NAZI party won with a plurality of seats in the Reichstag, but Hitler himself didn't win election.

Adolf Hitler's rise to power

The Nazi party lost 34 seats in the November 1932 election but remained the Reichstag's largest party. The most shocking move of the early election campaign was to send the SA to support a Rotfront action against the transport agency and in support of a strike.

After Chancellor Papen left office, he secretly told Hitler that he still held considerable sway with President Hindenburg and that he would make Hitler chancellor as long as he, Papen, could be the vice chancellor. On 30 January 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed chancellor of a coalition government of the NSDAP-DNVP-Centre Party. The SA and SS led torchlight parades throughout Berlin. In the coalition government, three members of the cabinet were Nazis: Hitler, Wilhelm Frick (Minister of the Interior) and Hermann Göring (Minister Without Portfolio).

With Germans who opposed Nazism failing to unite against it, Hitler soon moved to consolidate absolute power.

There is a good chance that there will be no change in 2010. “The Divine One,” can flood the polls in a moments notice with ACORN and illegal alien voters. The numbers of voters sent to the polling places may be staggering. All that we will be left with is ineffectual lawsuits and “Grass Root” campaigns.

The only good thing in the article was it at least gave us time to change course in 2010??

No, you can't. You can only prepare for the course you are already on. The time to change course would have been before Nov. 4, 2008.

Lots of things can change the course of where you thought you were going, but you aren't one of them. You can only resolve to live your life as a gift, and bite evil's throat out whenever it raises its head, even slightly.

Oh, that was you. Sorry. You were correct. Hitler didn’t win an election; just his party won control of the parliment, and through that control he won appointments, eventually twisting that power into absolute power. Nasty sequence toward a horrible end, any such that we should all be willing to recognize and resist.
