If only it were so in NY and NJ, but the moronic voters (most of whom are pale like me) believe the “only cops should have guns” line, and have a subservient attitude toward the state in general. There is a religious element to this attitude toward the state, but I don’t want to start a flame war.

This is why I like the Caribbean. I tell my friends to try out some of the islands in the Caribbean. It's a much more friendly place in my opinion. If you go to the right places they are happy to see a white face. If you spend just a small amount of money they will treat you like a king.

I guess you have never been to Kingston, Jamaica. Dey hates you!

“I grew up in Hawaii, and this is an unfair assessment. Is their racism? Sure. Are Whites targeted? Sure. But so are Blacks, Hispanics, and anyone other than the Asian or Pacific Islander group that one doesn’t belong to.”

The assessment is unfair because they target multiple races instead of just one. That’s pretty funny.

The plain truth is that whites are out-numbered.

This is simply not true. Caucasians still hold the majority in terms of population in Hawaii. Asians make up the second largest majority.

When you visit the melting pot of the Pacific you're bound to run into racial issues. We've got whites, blacks, Indians, Micronesians, Polynesians, Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, you name it we've got at least one of it. No where else in the United States are you going to run into this kind of ethnic diversity on a large scale.

I believe most of this "racial tension", from visitors to this great State, stem from their misunderstanding of the "local speak". When faced with confrontation it's fairly common for a local person to respond using a racially tainted response. While it is meant to burn there really is no racial hate behind it. If that makes sense. Which it probably won't because.... Well to be perfectly honest.... You don't live here. I apologize I don't know any other way to explain it.

Yes Jamaica can be a problem. It's not as bad as Hawaii though. There are lots of other places in Caribbean. This is why I said if you go to the right places. Stay away from the Dominican Republic, Hatti (hell on earth), Puerto Rico, Cuba(only a fool would go there and it's illegal except under certain conditions), but still there's lots of other places.

Caucasians? You mean there are many Hawaiians from the Republic of Georgia?

Oh...you mean "white people." OK, per the last census, Asians/Polynesians were 59.1% of the population of Hawaii, with whites coming in at 40.3%.

Surely this isn’t a surprise to anybody - my cousin went to high school there and said that the last day of school was unofficially “Kill a Haole Day”.

As the only “haole peeg” in my class at Kaneohe Elementry school in 1962 I got my share of ass-whoopin’s. I didn't need community organizers, school administrators or a foundation of Columbia Law grads to fix the problem. Once it became known that dispensing those ass-whoopin’s came with a hefty price tag they stopped. My former antagonists eventually became my best friends.

We were stationed there 1968-71. We loved it, but our children were very young and we lived in Japanese neighborhoods. One son started kindergarten shortly after we arrived and the other son was born there. We never had any problems, but I was aware of families with older children that couldn’t wait to leave because of violence against their teenagers. At least one family sent a child back to the mainland to live with relatives until their tour of duty was finished. We returned for a visit 16 yrs later and went to a beach on the Waianae coast that we frequented when we lived there. The place was trashed and I couldn’t wait to get out of there because of the threatening atmosphere.

That's true but the North Shore can be OK. Saint Lucia can also be pretty bad. I'm not sure why but the friendliest Island is Barbados. The Bajans are just downright friendly.

I can believe that. Bajans who live here on the mainland are also very friendly.

” One in 3 in Maui at any given time are tourists (one in 10 in Oahu) . Many of the tourists are and act obnoxious. Anti-white sentiment is less on other islands.

I’ve been only to the Big Island , and never had any problem with the locals whatsoever and neither did any of my relatives . That is not to say some racism doesn’t exist - just reportimg my experience . I’d love to go back .

LOL! I'm going to take your word for it and apologize for being mistaken. 40.3% is still a whole lot of whities. LOL! Joking of course. But still you don't hear those 40.3% complaining. They know their place. <~ Another joke. There are alot of mix breed out here. Before anyone starts calling me a racist, I personally am 1/4 wonderbread.

Re: “I’m not sure why but the friendliest Island is Barbados. The Bajans are just downright friendly.”

***********

I would have to agree — I’ve been to the Caribbean dozens of times and multiple times to Barbados. I tooled around a lot on my own, sometimes out of Bridgetown and other touristy areas. No problems at all there.

It could be that the lack of problem is due to the fact that Barbados is quite civilized; Bridgetown is considered a “working” city and it’s kind of like a little bit of London in the Caribbean. Barbados is known to have the best medical facilities in the Caribbean as well so if you get sick there you’ll be in good hands.

I’ve never been fearful in Barbados as I have been in some other areas including St. Thomas and St. Croix in the USVIs.

I grew up in Hawaii, and this is an unfair assessment. Is their racism? Sure. Are Whites targeted? Sure. But so are Blacks, Hispanics, and anyone other than the Asian or Pacific Islander group that one doesn't belong to. The incidents are mainly between high school kids. I could tell you stories.

I believe you, and everyone who's posted opposite views on this thread.

Let's all take a deep breath and look back to the source: The Southern Poverty Law Center, main source for the recent DHS booklet warning of radicalism/racism "on the right."

There aren't enough blacks in Hawaii to advance the cause of black persecution, so they content themselves with advancing racism against whites (haoles), while spending some graphs justifying the same anti-white sentiment.

Hawaii, IMO, is a deeply weird place by American standards. Its main value is strategic, due to its geography, and, of course, its history. Other than than that, it's an anomaly, as is the anti-American White House occupant it supposedly spawned.
