I think this is a good strategy. The reason the Dems wrote it so that it doesn’t go into effect until 2013 is that they know they’ll be collecting their pensions by then and won’t have to face the music. Make this threat and force them to move the effective date to 2011. That way more of them will get weak knees.
The put the date of activation later so they could collect taxes first and make it look less costly, another big lie.
