He certainly hits a chord with a segment of the population others don’t reach.

I would not say that it's only a segment, the ratings were what ? for one show ? 3 million ?
He hits a cord because he is just stating things, and asking questions and being bold about it that many of us want the rest of our supposed conservative leaders won't.
That's why Sarah Palin hits a cord also.
It's like when the Rocky movie first came out in 1976 and we cheered for Rocky, even though we can't put it all in words, we know it in our hearts and souls what Glen is saying and he is the champion who is standing up for those who don't have a voice in this thing.
