BOSTON President Barack Obama led the nation Saturday in mourning and remembering "the greatest legislator of our time," celebrating the indelible impact of Edward M. Kennedy as a senator for nearly a half-century and leader of America's most famous family during tragedy and triumph.
Delivering an emotional, simple eulogy for Kennedy that capped a two-hour Roman Catholic funeral Mass, Obama employed humor, his own experiences and timeless anecdotes to memorialize the senator, who died Tuesday at 77 after battling brain cancer for more than a year. The country may have viewed him as "heir to a weighty legacy," Obama said, but he was playfully known by the youngest Kennedys less grandly: as the big cheese, "The Grand Fromage."
"Ted Kennedy's life's work was not to champion those with wealth or power or special connections," Obama said. "It was to give a voice to those who were not heard, to add a rung to the ladder of opportunity, to make real the dream of our founding."

Its his third time in church since he was elected. One was a Unitarian church. He did go visit a mosque when he was globe trotting.
______________
I see you are keeping count too. Amazing that he attended Trinity faithfully every single Sunday

I don't know if anyone has focused on the fact that Mary Joe died from asphyxiation, not drowning, which means that he had to have closed the door on her when it was in the water. What does that make it?

Look at this man, Obama, standing at the pulpit of a Catholic church. Isn't the Holy Eucharist on the altar behind him?
This man Obama voted ***THREE*** times against giving medical care and attention to babies who were born alive after an abortion. He voted **THREE** times to allow these infants to die from cold, neglect, and hypoxia on cold stainless steel slabs in a utility room! If this were an adult that would be called torture!
Obama is a man who supports shoving scissors into the brains of infants already more than half born, scrambling their brains, and sucking the gelatinous mass into surgical suction jars.
Obama is a man who wishes to force all Americans to pay for the crime of abortion through our taxes.
Anyone who thinks that the Catholic Church is standing as a representative of Christ on earth,...well.., they are mistaken.

I purposely didn't see the 3 hours last night, and made sure I was away to day. But am wondering if Obama used his screens in the pulpit?? Liturgical churches in which I have been around, teleprompters are forbidden. But then, he IS the president

Doesn't BO read his script before hand? He DID NOT give a voice to those who were not heard - he approved of their killing!

The sight of Obama in a Catholic pulpit is utterly repugnant. I never had much respect for the archibishop of Boston, but this is an outrage for which he should be dismissed in disgrace

Look at Clintons clenched jaw and Obambis nose in the air Not to mention Michelle's ever present pouting, scowling mouth. She looks like she is angry all the time, except when she knows the camera is directly on her for some PR. Imagine living with that scowl staring at you always?

There, added the proper descriptive words.

I’d say in the past year he’s been the greatest legislator of our time because he hasn’t been able to work in the senate and therefore has not caused more damage like the rest of them.

He's right. In the current system, the "greatest legislators" are the ones who cause the most damage to the people.
But in a limited government like the Founders intended,"he who governs least, governs best".
