PLEASE PRAY FOR MY INTERVIEW ON FOXNEWS TOMORROW MORNING (Friday August 28) @ 6:20am (Eastern Standard Time)!

This is a recent posting on Facebook from Jamal

More can be found at the website for his ministry www.illuminate-us.com

Dear friends and family,

I am a firm believer that we meet each and every person in life on purpose. There are no accidents at all! God brings each and every person across our path in life for His kingdom purposes in our lives and beyond. Just over one year ago, the Lord brought our family across the path of an amazing 16 year old girl named Rifqa Bary. Since that time, her life has continued to radically impact and challenge my faith and devotion to Jesus in ways that I could not have dreamed possible.

Each time we met with her, I left a changed person. This young girl not only lived out the kingdom of God in word, but in deed! The Lord has used her to physically and spiritually heal people, and bring people into a relationship with God everywhere she has went. She has done this in places like high school, summer jobs, and more recently...jail cells. I do not say these things to brag about her, but to brag about the reality and power of Jesus in her!

As you may have already heard through the news media, there is a fight for her life going on in Florida right now. As you might imagine, satan would love to kill her and silence her life, but God is promoting and advancing her story for what I believe are a couple of major reasons:

1. First, I believe that the Lord is advancing her story because He deeply and passionately loves the Muslim peoples of the world. It is their time to come into the kingdom of God. Rifqa's story is deeply touching many Muslims around the world of the possibility of knowing and following Jesus. Also, many quiet former Muslim believers are being emboldened by her courage and story. They are coming out of the wood-work so to speak!

2. Second, I believe Rifqa's life is a challenge to wake the sleeping American Church up to the glory of God! You see, Rifqa has been raised right here in affluent America. She has not been allowed by her family to freely be apart of any church. She was not apart of any youth groups, or hip discipleship programs. She has not attended any seminaries. She has no degrees after her name, and no formal theological training; yet her faith in God in the midst of impossible situations sheds light on what has sustained her in the midst of tremounds abuse and very dark nights. What is the secret for Rifqa's passion and devotion to the Lord? What has sustained her, and kept her alive and powerfully thriving? What has been the fuel for her holy living, and for the tremendous impact of the world around her? I'll tell you what it is! The Lord has given her a hunger to know Him so great that she would awaken in the middle of the night to read and meditate on His word, to worship (as quiet as she could so she would not be caught.), and to prostrate herself in prayer and intercession on the floor. The Lord would meet with her, and it would be enough. He is more than enough for her, and because of her life, we in the American church now know the He is enough for us. Let us allow her story to penetrate our souls, and to stir this hunger in us as well. May the Lord use this little girl to awaken a sleeping giant! I know that He is.

I encourage you to click this link and read the story and watch the video. After you read this article, please take a moment to truly interceed on Rifqa's behalf. Please help get the truth about her out as there is much slander and misinformation about her life and story.

Thanks for the prayer, but I should clarify I am not Jamal. He is a friend, but the prayer request was from him and for him during this morning’s interview. He knows more about the story that I can not divulge - hence his interview tomorrow.

Unless he has fulfilled Mark 16:16 it is all for naught.

Prayers for Rifqa and Jamal. May the Lord use them in a mighty way and may He hide them under the shadow of His wings.

Why on earth would you say that?

Mark 16:16
He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

I know for a fact Jamal is an amazing Christian with incredible courage. Do you make the same challenge to Christian's with the last name "Smith"?

Your comment is very confusing.

“Unless he has fulfilled Mark 16:16 it is all for naught.”

Why do you say that? Are you a Baptist? Don’t you know that people are saved without Baptism? Indeed, it is not baptism that saves. Baptism is a sign, as circumcision was in the Old Testament.

Don’t be legalistic. It’s not nice.
