So far, they’ve done an excellent job.

This may be overstating it, but I must say, the Republican party has a large percentage of conservatives in it - no doubt. We need to lead that party back to its conservative roots. We see occasional glimpses of courage from the leadership, but not nearly enough, imo.

I am extremely pleased. Of course, my congressman is Steve King—one of the best but I know he does not feel alone. Today he announced he will be running for reelection rather than running for governor.

O knows people will lay low with their money and any seniors that have money will have to pay extra for healthcare. This is theft of wealth. Keep the pressure on. I think things will get worse and his poll numbers will go lower and lower - people are getting furious.

I hope you are right! But, aside from the town hall meetings, what is your evidence that there is widespread fury about this? Not trying to say you are wrong, I really hope you are right, but would like to know why you think this?

The polls, for one, which show a broadspread and growing rejection of Obama's health care plan (and, not coicidentally, of him).

For another, the town hall and tea party movements are spontaneous. They are not the result of any studied effort by the party -- or any organization at all, really -- to make a racket. Spontaneous movements usually represent far larger constituencies than might actually show up on a given night.
