They will sacrifice their own if it’s necessary to grab the country, martial law, suspend the Constitution or delete it outright. With such a combination, they can disarm the citizenry for the “greater good”.
That scenario would rely on orders that have a low probablility of being followed, a military that would gleefully leap into a role as oppressors of their own families, friends, neighbors, fellow citizens, and a populace that would docilely and obediently accept their role of being oppressed.
It's a no on all of the above.
I’m counting on the military to protect us from our rulers who are turning oppressors.
As an example: The Constitution is not followed and there is no need for the rulers to “delete” it.
The MSM is complicit by not pointing out what the country is being converted to. People can wake up one day and be told that czar so and so decreed such and such.
It’s very dangerous that people are appointed to rule us through proximity to Dear Leader’s big ears.
